Hello, I am Paul Clarke, proud owner and founder of Moonraker Motorcycles Ltd.

Below is a quick summary of who we are and where we have come from.

Formed on August 1st 1985, Moonraker Motorcycles has grown over the past forty-plus years from humble beginnings in my mum's garden shed to the UK's No.1 Royal Enfield dealership. Selling brands such as Voge, QJ Motor, Benelli, Lambretta, SYM — specialists in Adventure Bikes, Sports Bikes, Commuter 125cc/50cc Scooters, as well as small to medium-sized motorcycles and mopeds — we are a leading dealership in East Anglia.

I had four years in a shed in my mum's back garden. Then, in November 1989, I signed a lease and took over what was then Bob Gotts Motorcycles on Drayton Road. I nurtured Moonraker over the next seven years, working all hours, until expansion led me to buy and take over the large showrooms and workshops of what was then Slaughter Motorcycles of Norwich. That was on 1st January 1996, and it is still, to this date, Moonraker Motorcycles’ location: 125–129 Oak Street, Norwich, NR3 3BP.

Back in 1985 it was just me, Paul. Now, in 2025, when walking in, you will see myself, Paul, as well as Robby, who works alongside me in Sales and the Showroom. With Grace on the Service Desk booking in and following up customers' needs. We are all keen bikers who have a love of motorcycles in every waking hour. Everything we do involves Motorcycles and Scooters in some way. Everyone at Moonraker Motorcycles working together brings vast experience and knowledge to the Moonraker showroom and stores.

The Full Team:

Robby: Vehicle, clothing and accessories sales, as well as store management.
Grace: Stores, clothing and accessories sales, as well as warranty and workshop administrator.
Aaron: Technician and workshop controller. He is a fully trained Royal Enfield, SYM, Benelli, Voge and QJ Motor technician with vast Royal Enfield knowledge, as well as being certified to undertake MOT testing of all makes of motorcycles. Aaron joined the Moonraker team in 2016 and comes from a full career in the motor trade, both cars and motorcycles.
Tom: Technician. Tom joined us in June 2022. He is enrolled on the Royal Enfield training programme, as well as Voge, QJ Motorcycles and SYM/Voge/QJ Scooters maintenance and more.
Istvan & Bob: They come in whenever asked, sometimes at the drop of a hat, to handle large deliveries, de-crating all of the new Motorcycles and Scooters. Receiving large weekly deliveries in excess of thirty boxed and crated machines at a time.
Karen: Accounts and Sales. Also my wife and co-director, who heads up the accounts and all behind-the-scenes admin that keeps us up to date and moving forward. Working alongside me for the past 40+ years, Karen turns her hand to whatever is needed to make Moonraker run smoothly.

Then myself, Paul: Managing Director and Motorcycle owner from the age of eleven. I am afraid my Curriculum Vitae is rather boring and reads only Moonraker Motorcycles for the past forty years (plus some), only ever really working for myself. However, I can do most of the above and more, with lots and lots of experience and knowledge of the industry to share with my staff and customers.

We — that is Robby, Grace, Karen and myself — are the front of shop with the sales of Voge, QJ Motor, Benda, Royal Enfield, SYM Motorcycles/Scooters/Helmets/Jackets/Gloves, as well as the day-to-day running of the shop, booking you in for service and MOT, or just offering advice, whatever your motorcycling needs might be.

All my team are full-time. All staff are fully trained, highly competent and reassuringly approachable.

We have well over 100 new Motorcycles and Scooters in stock. If you can’t see it, it just means we haven’t got it out — please ask! We can also have up to 60 used Motorcycles and Scooters for sale online or in-store at any one time.

We are proud to sell Royal Enfield, Voge, QJ Motor, Benelli, Benda Motorcycles and SYM Scooters — all top brands. Stocking quality clothing from Oxford Products and safety helmets like Simpson, HJC and MT. From low-cost to high-end, with fair prices for all riders, both male and female — from the 16-year-old novice to the mature commuter who has just sold the car and is now starting out on two wheels, as well as the more experienced motorcycle riders. We also stock spare parts, both genuine and pattern, as well as service parts for all brands we sell and others we don’t.

We are as accommodating to the customer who desires “just” one pair of gloves as we are to the customer who seeks the whole package (i.e. the actual vehicle, CBT training, road insurance, helmet and clothing… and the finance to pay for it all).

We all take great pride in our work at Moonraker Motorcycles and are proud to be known as a “One Stop Shop” for product, stock, training and information. The levels of service are second to none and our enthusiasm shines through.

Please feel free to come in and see the high quality of our working environment. I am, as you can see, very proud of our standards and achievements, and I thank you for taking the time to read our company profile.

We're Just a Ride Away!

Paul Clarke
Managing Director
